Welcome to Dr. Art's Planet Earth Show!

Dr. Art’s show features exciting scientific demonstrations and audience participation to introduce the central scientific concepts of Dr. Art’s Guide to Planet Earth. It is a great show for students (grades 5 and above), teacher conferences/workshops, and the general public. Younger children enjoy the show when they are part of a mixed-age audience that includes adults, especially their family. Adults enjoy the show even if there are no kids present. The show is particularly appropriate for science centers, national parks, educator conferences, colleges, high schools or museums. The show illustrates essential features of how our planet operates. Together we explore a systems approach to matter, energy and life both globally and locally. Three principles provide a simple yet powerful framework for understanding how our planet has been working for billions of years and for analyzing environmental issues such as global climate change. Dr. Art has performed his show at the Oakland Museum of California, the California Academy of Sciences, the Marin County Civic Center, the YMCA of the Ozarks in Missouri, the Springs Theater in Palm Springs, Gulf Shores State Park in Alabama, the Tampa Museum of Science and Industry, and many California Convention Centers (San Diego, San Jose, Sacramento and Long Beach).
